Balloons Over Anderson Hot Air Balloon Festival

Bring the family and enjoy the spectacle as 25 beautiful hot air balloons magically rise into the Anderson skies in five scheduled flights throughout the weekend (weather permitting)! Check the Event Schedule for flight times. Book a hot air balloon flight in advance or during the festival, take a tethered balloon ride, watch the other great shows planned, and have lunch and dinner from the variety offered by the food vendors.

Balloon Glow - The Saturday evening balloon glow is a must see! All balloons will inflate at dusk to illuminate the night sky. Spectators are welcome to stroll amongst the balloons to view them up close and talk with the Pilots and Crew.

History of Ballooning - Learn about ballooning at the History of Ballooning tent. Stop by and get an education about hot air ballooning and everything you wanted to know about balloons and more.

FireTower Flyers R/C Air Show - You will love the other flying aircrafts show Saturday at 10:00 AM presented by the FireTower Flyers remote control airplane club from Easley, SC. If you are a R/C plane enthusiast, come out and talk to the flyers. You won't want to miss this show!

Powered Paragliders - Sunday you will be mesmerized by the beauty and grace of the paragliders and powered paraglider demonstrations presented by Georgia Paragliding Solutions and Southern Parapilots Club. They will also provide kiting and towing demonstrations.

Car and Motorcyle Show - A car and motorcycle show will be on display Saturday 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM presented by the Western Upstate Association of Realtors. If you are interested in showing a car or motorcycle, download an application here.

Mr. Twister the Clown - Your children will flock to see the award winning Mr. Twister of Anderson, SC with his entertaining variety of skills! Watch him create an "Over The Top" balloon sculpture, get a glitter tattoo or have their face painted with one of his beautiful designs!

Thomas The Train & Inflatables - Entertain the kids with Thomas The Train and his many inflatables by Eddie's Trackless Trains & Inflatables of Pelzer, SC. What kid doesn't like jumping and sliding?

Country Music Artist Arvie Bennett, Jr. -You won't want to miss the captivating musical talent from Travelers Rest, SC. Arvie will draw you in with his passion and pure voice.

Emcee & DJ Lisa Drudge - Emcee duties are provided by Lisa Drudge, professional event coordinator and one of the upstate Carolina's best Emcees and DJ's! Lisa will entice you with her music and charm you with her enthusiasm!

Balloons Over Anderson has also developed a scholarship / funding program in conjunction with the local Civil Air Patrol. The intent of the program is to provide educational funding in the field of aviation for youth members in our community.
